I shopped at Pupo's while I lived in Welland for nine years. There is no better grocery store around. I now live in Ridgeway and will occassionally drive all the way to Welland to shop at Pupo's. We could really use a store like them in the Fort Erie area.

Very Satisfied 2011-07-15 Shop there often, mainly for their great meats. I find most staff very friendly, everyone has a bad day here or there and they are there to serve me and not kiss my butt like some customers want (especially the ones trying to steal deli meats). Very busy at times which tells you they are a great store. Very clean place to shop.I wish the disgruntled customers shop elsewhere to make it more pleasant and roomier for the happy customers. This place is a gold mine and too busy to miss the miserable ones.

I went into the store at 900 am. on March 2/11 to buy lunch meat and fresh buns. The buns were not ready so I walked around the store while I waited. After waiting 50 minutes the buns were still not ready so I paid for what I had and put the bag in my car. I went back into the store to see if the buns were ready yet and they weren't so I bought different ones. After paying for them I was approached by an employee who accused me of stealing the deli meat that I had already paid for. He actually came out to my car to check the bag. I will never enter this store again. The employees are rude. I will also tell everyone I know about this incident.

I have been going to Pupo's for 35 years. Have always enjoyed the store and I'm in and out. This is usually the only place I shop. Recently I ordered some prosetta? but I was'nt impressed. It tasted like and looked like processed. Please bring back the real stuff.\ Thank you. George.

New to Welland and have visited Pupo's on various occasions. First thing that strikes me funny is the way management oversees the staff, reminds me of Louie on the show Taxi. The staff are pretty good overall and produce is good but not always the best (lousy tomotoes). I do like the idea of promoting locally grown produce. Meats are the leanest I've seen which I guess is Pupo's greatest asset. For being a small shop they could be a little more modern and upscale their product selection with imported cheeses and offer healthier artisan style breads similar to Denningers and whole foods.

Excellent meats. Excellent fresh produce. Quick cashier service. Employees are not paid well even after years of service. Employees are not treated well, it is apparent by the way they seem to be 'watched' all the time. This stems from upper management on down.

I live across the street from Pupo's and go there literally DAILY- the staff joke with me about I'm there so much! If there's anyone qualified to tell you how good they are, it would be me. On occasion, you will have a new checkout girl who is sulky and disinterested in her job, but those are the type that never last. The longtimers there are fantastic, always happy to see you and helpful. The deli is legendary. I have never been disappointed. Prices can sometimes be high, but for the service and convenience, it's well worth it.

Health and safety need to be taught to owners and workers. Not a friendly place to shop. Over priced on everything. Cashier who wears the black wrist brace, is in need of a major lesson in customer service, and learn not to throw items around, and do some work instead of fixing the magazines.

Pupo's is a family owned and managed food store where you can usually find what you are looking for more readily than the large supermarkets. They have the freshest produce and the meat department is the best available. I have been shopping at Pupo's for over 30 years and have never been disapointed with their quality. Fantastic place to shop! We live an hour away and travel there weekly for all of our meat and produce needs. And they have a full grocery selection, everything we need. Staff are extremely friendly and know me and my daughter by name! Produce is the best I've ever seen, and Pupos buys from local farmers so not only are they supporting our local economy but the food is fresh, not sitting on a truck for days. The Pupo family are always working in the store and take great pride in their work and strive for excellent customer service, something you certainly don't get in the bigger stores. And when you're shopping's all done, your groceries are carefully packed and taken out to your car. This is certainly appreciated when shopping with a toddler! Keep up the good work Pupo family and staff!!

Been shopping there for years as I do like the produce. Not a friendly place, except for a few employees. Most items are way over priced. Major cross-contamination in the deli dept. They are in need of a Health and Safety check done on a bi-monthly bases. I do know for a fact that they are not good to the staff!

I started shopping at Pupos when I moved out on my own. My parent's shopped there for as long as I can remember for fresh produce and meat. Now that I have my own family *I* shop there because the food is fresh, prices are great, the store is clean, the staff is friendly and it has everything someone would want out of a grocery store. I must also say that sometimes I can be in and out to pick up a few things faster than the amount of time I stand in line at the big name chains and that is important to me. Keep up the great work!
As a past employee of Pupo's I must say I have alway's been treated excellent, the Pupo family have very strong work ethic and values and this City should be very proud that we still have a family run Supermarket. My parents shopped here since Pupo's opened many years ago and we still carry on the tradition and to the Pupo family keep up the good work!

Worst place I have ever seen... Customer service is horrid because the owners treat their employees horrible. You can tell they don't have a union, they would be so screwed for many things that they do to the employees. They barely clean anything. I do not understand why that it is just recently that the Health Administration is finally cracking down on them for the disgusting things that goes on in the back of that store.

I have been shopping there for years!! The best fruit vegies and deli you can get anywhere!!! I am surpised at the lady who said they picked up the liver and did not change gloves. I have been there many many times and they always use a metal hook to get the liver out not- Their hands.They cannot help what their staff does. The lady should bring that to store owners attention. I would love love love an on line weekly flyer, as I live in the Grimsby area, and never think to stop in at Pupo's until my mom tells me afterwards oh Pupo's had this on sale this week...Damn in only I had a flyer I couldn't have stop by on my way home to get things..and as u know running in to get a few sale item promotes more selling at the store. I now shop at Lococco's in Hamilton, and love it as it is worth my drive there. Why not make Pupo's worth my drive as well, please get an online flyer.

I love Pupo's! Pupo's need to get on-line for a weekly flyer. I don't get the paper so I don't shop at Pupo's weekly anymore. If I'm in the area and see some thing on sale on their signs outside of the store, I'll drop in to shop. But they have lost most of my business because they are not on-line. Come on Pupo's get with the times!
The cashiers need a little reminder about customer service...Deli has excellent meat selection, good prices - but cashiers are little to be desired.

Not A Great Place AT ALL! the way they work in the back is horrible and very unsanitary! They bake bread on the same trays as they put raw meat and they only clean the trays with bleach but do not ever rinse them so there is bleach sitting on the trays where there might be bread or meat. If something is dropped in the meat room or bakery they do not care they pick it up and continue using it. Produce is one of the only places I can really trust except I found a worm in a peach I had once. Family Staff treat employees like garbage except for a specific one or two.
It is the best place to shop in the Niagara area. The meat is fresh and leaner than any I've ever seen. When we lived 2.5 hours away, we still tried to buy all of our meat there.The fruits and vegetables are fresher than what I get from the farmer's market most of the time. The staff is friendly and helpful. The owners' policy is obviously that of customer service. Who else carries your groceries to the car and helps load them? The deli/meat department will prepare a custom cut or bring back your huge roast after is it cooked and they will slice it. I've been shopping there almost all of my life and wouldn't change. The prices for most things are lower than the chains and that makes up for fewer choices being stocked.

Pupo's is the best place to go for meat, fruit and vegetables. We live out of town but try to shop there at least once a week. When you buy a pound of meat, that's what you get(not a pound of fat and bone). Their fruits and vegetables last the longest in the fridge and are always fresh.

Absolute Tops - can't get any better then this - so nice to find a grocery store with individualized and personal service - meat, prepared foods, cheese and produce are out of this world.
